PUBSPRAWL 14 GOES TO DUBLIN -- MARCH 13th, 2010!

(No joke.)

That's right, this year's 14th Annual PubSprawl is headed to Dublin, Ireland: the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, and more importantly, St. Patrick himself! It's where they invented the pubcrawl, create the Guinness, and manufacture the Irishness.

Here's the details:

This year's PubSprawl is ON...! But, er, it's different...

1. The 14th Annual PubSprawl is ON...but it's in Dublin, Ireland this year

2. For Chicagoans: All About The Pubcrawl Northwest

1. The 14th Annual PubSprawl is ON...but uh, it's in Dublin, Ireland this year.

We're doing something different this year, we're taking the 14th Annual PubSprawl to Dublin, Ireland. You're all invited to join us. It's a long story, but basically two of the founders have been called their place of employment to move over to Ireland next week and work there for a couple years. The Dublin route is in the works and will not be similar to last year's (I don't think they have Tai's Til 5).

Here's the Map (a la our friends at The Google):

Join us, it should be a blast! I am absolutely positive I do not have everyone's email address bcc'd on this email, so please forward to your closest drinking (and non-drinking) buddies. As you all know, the more, the merrier (especially if you know any Dubliners).

2. For Chicagoans: All About The Pubcrawl Northwest

"Hey jerk, I can't come to Dublin like at the last minute. What are you going to do for all of us who count of getting hammered at the PubSprawl?!?!?!"

Fear not: we have Universal PubSprawl Coverage!

For those who can't come to Dublin, check out our sister PubCrawl: PubCrawl NorthWest (aka The PubSpawn). Started by fellow PubSprawlers, and now in it's 3rd year, the PubCrawl NorthWest starts in Edison Park (where the PubSprawl began) and works it's way north following bars along the Northwest train line. Details below, but if you like clicking then click here for details! Here's a summary:

ABOUT PUBSPRAWL

Started in the last years of the 20th Century, PubSprawl, once an embarassedly unnamed pubcrawl is now an embarassed named pubcrawl and still going strong! Now with 11 years behind it, PubSprawl shows no signs of stopping.

What started as a group of 20 friends drinking the day away has quickly grown into a group of 275+ friends drinking the day away. Now that's progress!

If you've discovered this website (whether told, emailed, or simply typed in the wrong porn address) you're now invited to tag along.

Get familiar with the rules and route, check out this year's beloved King & Queen, revisit the fond hazy memories of PubSprawl past, or check out the pages dedicated to Seamus O'Ffend, Ireland's greatest dirty leprechaun comic, and revel in some dirty limericks, jokes, or toasts!

March 10, 2009

Not shown here: Anonymous318

Facebook, LinkedIn, Plaxo, PubSprawl...it's harder and harder to NOT be on the web these days. And yet, that's exactly what Anonymous318 has successfully pulled off.

"I'm a firm believer of living 'off the grid'" remarked Anonymous318. "I don't have email, I avoid social networks, and shun the internet. You won't find me anywhere." Except at this year's PubSprawl. [MORE...]

Competing "BarSprawl" Tells PubSprawl To Go To Hell

Feb 17, 2007

BarSprawl Founders
Colin Kolakowski
& Peter Papadalopolis

Although the PubSprawl is now in its 11th year, many in Chicago want to remind St. Patrick's Day revelers that the PubSprawl is not the only game in town. I met up with the co-founders of a competing bar crawl, the BarSprawl (www.barsprawl.com), at a Dunkin Donuts in Rogers Park.

"So what that PubSprawl is in it's 11th year?" screams Colin Kolakowski in between sips of Dunkin Donuts coffee. "Me and Pete are also in our 11th year too..."[MORE].
